Is it possible to wear a neoprene or thick elasticated support with shin pads?
My problem is tarsal coalition.
Basically, my ankle bones are fused together, for this reason I can't compensate for twisting my ankle at all, so when I do I'm out for at least a week. I'm a goal keeper, so this is a problem.
My shin pads already have ankle guards on them, which are ineffective, I wear a think elasticated bandage doubled over, but still twist my ankle every match and I am steadily doing more damage as I never properly recover for the next match.
So with that in mind, has anyone else suffered this, is there any way to stop it, is there a solution, and which is the best type to get?
