Anyone experience a severe injection reaction (swelling, pain, Unable to walk) from Progesterone oil?
We are ttc, had IVF and started progesterone oil inj. I have been giving them in my thighs. I have only given myself a total of 6 shots. I have had to stop the injections because of a severe site reaction. My thighs are red, swollen and worst of all, extremely sore that I can barely walk or stand. Has anyone had a similar reaction? Does anyone have any suggestions for the pain? I'm limited to tylenol and am using a heating pad. I'm open to anything safe since I just had my embryo transfer days ago. At least the pain is forcing me to adhere to bedrest. I would love to hear from anyone who has or is experiencing this. Any tips or advice would be welcomed also.
Have you called your RE? If you cannot take the shots, then you will need your progesterone supplemented in another form to help support your possible pregnancy. Also, ask your RE if you are allowed to take Benadryl because it will help with the allergic reaction and the redness.
