professional leather clean only?
I bought some gloves on a good sale, but after purchasing them I read on the tag "professional leather clean only." I love the gloves, and they weren't expensive, so I'm definitely not returning them. I'm wondering if it is necessary to find a professional leather cleaning place/person and if it is worth the expense. Is there a safe way for me to clean the leather gloves at home? Also note, they are red; I don't know if that will make any difference.
You should be able to use saddle soap on them. Saddle soap is effective and safe to use on most leather products as well as cheap. Spot test it in a corner to see if it's safe or if the color "bleeds" before cleaning the whole glove. Never wash leather in the washer as it may shrink. Good luck!
